What do I love about working for the college?

I love being science-adjacent in my role in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB). I’m happy to put my administrative and organizational skills to work for our great group of researchers and students, who are doing really cool things in ecological research, and who will become our future scientists.

Things in EEB are never boring—we have a great team in our office and amazing leadership in our department, and we tackle new changes and challenges every day with a positive attitude.

I enjoy the cyclical nature of each year here at UT—incoming students in the fall, helping students advance, and then getting ready for graduation.

What do I do for the college?

If you email EEB, my eyes are the first to see it. I field all our department emails and make sure issues are handled appropriately.

In my role, I do a bit of everything from unlocking doors and reserving rooms to entering our classes into the timetable and helping promote courses and seminars. I help EEB undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff with all kinds of issues, ranging from course overrides, vehicle reservations, and website updates to maintaining our space and equipment inventories.

Kudos Program

Receiving recognition from my peers is a great booster and reminder that I’m appreciated!
