What do I love about working for the college?
I love the diverse fields of study in the college, as well as our common goal to provide excellent and remarkable work that helps the college stand out among the greater UT community and other institutions. In ORCA, I get to collaborate with so many amazing faculty and staff who share this goal and help move research forward.
What do I do for the college?
I assist faculty, students, and professional staff with submitting proposals for externally funded research, public service, and training projects. We aim to enhance research and creative activity within the college by providing many helpful services to our investigators, such as relief from administrative tasks.
I enjoy the project management tasks related to successful proposal submissions, which may include creating efficient checklists to meet deadlines, learning and disseminating unique agency trends and guidelines, and maintaining clear and consistent communication among team members. I also enjoy reading about and celebrating successful award announcements for the proposals we support.
Kudos Program
I really appreciate that the college provides this opportunity, so that we can share gratitude with each other. It feels great to be uplifted and recognized by my colleagues and collaborators.
