What do I love about working for the college?
What I love most about working at UT is having the opportunity to contribute to and experience the Volunteer spirit. UT is an incredibly vibrant, compassionate, and supportive community, and I enjoy the vast diversity of people and projects I get to work with in this role. UT has a strong presence, and I enjoy helping the college strengthen its brand and grow its impact across the university and into the larger community.
Clearly, I’m a sucker for the arts and creative spaces, so I enjoy catching theatre and film productions, strolling through art galleries, and listening to musical performances whenever possible. Beyond UT activities, I enjoy road cycling to help me stay clear and focused and to slow down the unavoidable aging process. It also allows me to eat all the carbs my heart desires! I also enjoy playing chess, reading, watching movies, cooking, and spending quality time with my soulmate and dogs—preferably outdoors.
What do I do for the college?
It’s often hard to articulate exactly what I do in this role, as it can feel like our communications team works magic behind the scenes. But I help ensure our college and its units/departments have impactful, cohesive, and effective visual communications and messaging. I enjoy knowing that my role has a significant impact on students and supports faculty and staff in the college, helping to influence and educate young minds. It’s critical that I feel like I’m helping or contributing to something larger than the immediate need, and this role is extremely rewarding in the sense that I know I’m helping to impact the future.

It always feels great to receive recognition for hard work! It’s an affirmation that my role and contributions are noticed and appreciated. Staff operate mostly behind the scenes, but it’s always refreshing and encouraging to hear that our efforts are successful and noteworthy.
