Considering transferring to the College of Arts and Sciences? We’re here to help you navigate the process.
Prospective Transfer Students
If you are exploring a transfer to UT and a major within the College of Arts and Sciences, you’re welcome to meet with an advisor. To schedule a prospective appointment:
- Call 865-974-4483
- Visit 313 Ayres Hall
- Indicate that you are a prospective transfer student
Bring a current copy of your transcript so we can review coursework and discuss potential pathways.
Newly Admitted Transfer Students
After confirming your enrollment, register for UT’s New Vol Experience through your Go Vols Portal. Once you have registered for orientation, the College of Arts and Sciences will contact you with information about scheduling your required advising appointment.
Before meeting with your advisor, review transfer-credit evaluation in MyUTK and complete any preparation requested by the college. During your appointment, you and your advisor will discuss how your credits apply to your degree, review program requirements, and plan your first semester at UT.
