Every Spring the Center for Career Development and Academic Exploration and The College of Arts and Sciences Advising Services team up to put on a series of events for students at UTK who are interested in the health professions. Please take note of each event as some require registration and have limited capacity.
Saturday February 25 |
7:30am – 5:00pm Free Full Length Practice MCAT from AAMC(For students applying to medical school) Haslam Business Building 203 (HBB 203) This is a full length practice MCAT purchased by Arts and Sciences from AAMC that will be run like a real MCAT. Students must have completed Organic Chemistry (Chem 260 & 269) to be eligible to register. Seats are limited and registration is required via Handshake. 1:30 pm Group departure from UTK (Neyland stadium) 4:30 pm Group return to UTK (Neyland stadium) Join us to visit Lincoln Memorial University’s Knoxville campus. You will hear from program representatives from their Osteopathic medical school, physical therapy program, and occupational therapy programs. Seats are limited and registration is required via Handshake. Transportation in UTK vans will be provided. |

Participants include East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Oak Ridge Associated Universities, Undergraduate Research and Fellowships, and plenty of student organizations!

Wednesday March 8 |
3:00pm-5:00pm Vol Trek (on-campus field trip): Exploring Careers in the Health Care IndustryStudent Health Center 1800 Volunteer Boulevard Knoxville, TN 37916 During this Vol Trek (on-campus field trip), students will visit the Student Health Center to learn from professionals that work in the health care industry. The panel of health care professionals will include a Physical Therapist, a Family Medicine physician, a Sports Medicine physician, a Pharmacist, and a Nurse. If you are interested in a career in the Health Care industry, this Vol Trek is a must! Students should gather in the waiting area of the Student Health Center at 2:45pm.
