Statistics, BS

Are you interested in the real-world effects of statistics on fields ranging from computer science to artificial intelligence (AI) and more? Our Bachelor of Science in Statistics gives you the knowledge to interpret the vast amounts of data in our world, allowing you to turn raw numbers into actionable information, identify patterns, and make informed decisions.

Program Overview

The Statistics BS program teaches statistical methods to analyze and manage complex data, preparing students for business, science, health, and tech careers.

Our program’s flexibility makes it unique. Whether you aspire to a career in business and finance, want to be at the cutting-edge of artificial intelligence and technology, or you want to apply statistics to the social sciences, our program allows you to tailor your coursework to your interests. You’ll have the opportunity to take classes in probability and statistics, stochastic processes, data mining and business analytics, database systems, and more.

This program is ideal for students who plan to pursue graduate studies or want to apply statistical methods in professional settings.

Our graduates often go on to apply their skills working for artificial intelligence companies, conducting survey research, working in financial analysis for banks and large corporations, or conducting biostatistics and biomedical research.  

In the government sector, students might work in US Census research, or for government agencies like the Department of Energy and Commerce where analyzing and understanding data are highly sought after skills.
