Partnerships
The Marco Institute has multiple national and international partnerships that offer opportunities for research and presentations for our faculty and graduate students.
The Newberry Consortium
The Marco Institute is part of the Newberry Consortium, led by the [Newberry Library](LINK) in Chicago and the [Folger Shakespeare Library](LINK) in Washington, D.C. This Consortium is an international organization of over fifty universities that contribute to the administration and oversee the programs of the Newberry Library Center for Renaissance Studies. The Center offers lectures, seminars, workshops, symposia, summer language and paleography institutes, as well as performances to the local and wider scholarly communities.
Marco faculty and graduate students are eligible to apply for funding through the Marco Institute to attend Newberry events, as well as events at the affiliated Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C. For more information about Newberry funding applications, please email [email protected].
CESCM, University of Poitiers
The Marco Institute has created an international partnership with the [Centre d’études supérieures de civilisation médiévale (CESCM)](LINK) at the University of Poitiers in France. The partnership has resulted in several major international conferences over recent years, and moving forward, we hope to offer further research, conference, and exchange programs for our students and faculty.
