Happy Holidays!
It seems like a lifetime ago that we welcomed more than 1,500 students to the college during Welcome Week in August. In the months that passed, we experienced record-breaking enrollment figures, an exciting football season, and a decision about the next steps for our college, among other things.
Thank you for your work supporting our students this semester. From classrooms and labs to front offices and advising meetings, each interaction with our students is what helps them succeed and thrive at UT.
It has been a busy, busy semester and I know you are tired and ready for the winter break. During this holiday season, I encourage you to get lots of rest and eat food that makes you happy with people you love so you are rejuvenated for the spring semester.
These next few weeks are critical for our self-care. When we return to campus next month, we will hit the ground running and before we know it, it will be time to celebrate another graduating class. Winter Solstice and the longest night of the year is next week. As the stillness of winter sets in, I encourage you to take a moment and reflect on what you have accomplished this year and what you plan to accomplish next year.
Happy Holidays and Go Vols!
Sincerely,
Theresa M. Lee
