ICCR’s Community Partners are at the heart of our mission. Across Appalachia, these organizations lead the daily work of building strong, resilient communities—supporting recovery efforts, strengthening local economies, protecting public health, and planning for a changing climate. Their insight and leadership guide our priorities and ensure that ICCR’s research is grounded in real needs.
Through these partnerships, we co-create projects, share data and tools, and support practitioners working in disaster preparedness and recovery, housing, infrastructure and environmental management, economic development, health and safety, and beyond. By connecting the expertise and world-class research of the University of Tennessee with local capacity and on-the-ground practice, ICCR helps translate science into solutions that communities can use today and build on for the future.
