Programs
In addition to Pre-Law and Pre-Health programs, we offer several interdisciplinary majors and minors for undergraduate students that integrate knowledge across disciplines.
Consortium on Social and Cultural Inquiry
CoSCI serves as the college’s signature unit for the delivery of innovative, interdisciplinary training in social and cultural inquiry across established and emergent areas of study with enduring and profound relevance to historical and contemporary societies.
Interdisciplinary Programs
In keeping with the philosophy that integration of knowledge is as important as proficiency in a given field, the College of Arts and Sciences has combined the resources of several departments to offer a series of interdisciplinary majors and minors for undergraduate students.
College Scholars
The College Scholars Program is an interdisciplinary honors program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Our program exists solely for highly motivated and academically talented students who have clear goals for their undergraduate education, and who cannot attain those goals within the traditional requirements structure of the College.
Economics
Bachelor’s programs in economics are offered through both the Haslam College of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences. Our curriculum includes foundational theory, econometric tools for data analysis and many fields of applied economics. Explore how an economics major can be the foundation to many rewarding careers.
Pre-Health
The decision to pursue a health profession can be both exciting and challenging. Your educational preparation as an undergraduate is an essential part of your success later on.
Pre-Law
The decision to pursue a legal education and a career in law is part of a complex process, but it does not have to be difficult. Consult with your advisor if you would like to pursue your education in the Pre-Law program.
Teacher Education Program
Teacher Education programs at the university vary greatly dependent upon the area of the licensure that a student is seeking. Some programs have undergraduate and graduate tracks while others only offer licensure at the graduate level.
