Kingston, TNBiography
I love traveling, hiking, and nature; I like to garden and keep an obscene number of house plants. Reading is one of my favorite pastimes – particularly fiction, like Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings, Frankenstein, etc. I eat Taco Bell at least once per week.

Educational Philosophy
Education encompasses more than attending class and graduating when you have fulfilled all requirements. It is not something you receive. Rather, it requires active engagement and exploration in your academic and co-curricular interests and activities. Education does not have an endpoint, nor is its sole purpose to prepare students for employment. As lifelong process, it hones your ability to seek new knowledge, to solve problems, to act as an informed citizen, and to satisfy your curiosities.
