Plan Your Pool

A view of the law school surrounded by trees and flowers. Photo by Jack Parker. It is important to have a diverse pool of schools when you get ready to apply. Although there is no fixed number that works for everyone, a wise strategy is to have at least one school that is a “safe” choice, a school that for whom you feel certain you are a good candidate.

The LSAC calculator utility allows you to enter your GPA and LSAT score and then receive a list of most of the law schools in the country, either alphabetically or in order of the likelihood of your admission. If you have a dream school or program, this tool can help you identify where your GPA and LSAT should be for admission.

We recommend you pull this tool up when talking to your advisor if your conversation for that appointment is about building your application pool.
