Rick Huffstetler, craft supervisor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, received the Outstanding Technical Support award at our annual staff appreciation event. Nominated by Yuri Efremenko and several other faculty and staff in the department, Rick’s support includes supervisory work, planning, designing, purchasing, and machining.
“Rick has a broad talent in knowing how things work, how to improve them, how to fix them, and how to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks,” one nominator wrote.
“The rapport that Ricky builds up with other departments and services benefits all and the university as a whole,” another nominator wrote.
