Faculty Awards Nominations Open

Do you have an outstanding faculty you would like to recognize at the College of Arts and Science’s faculty awards dinner this year? If so, it is time to get your nominations together.

Nominations are due October 25 at 5:00 p.m.

The following faculty awards are open for nominations. Please click on the link to learn more about each award and nomination requirements. Each award page includes a contact name for more information if you have any questions about the nomination process.

Diversity Leadership Award

Award that recognizes the extraordinary efforts of a staff or faculty member in support of the college’s and university’s commitment to diversity.

James R. & Nell W. Cunningham Outstanding Teaching Award
Award for a tenured faculty member who demonstrates outstanding classroom teaching.

Teaching Awards
Award of excellence in teaching for tenured and tenure-track faculty at the junior- and senior-level, as well excellence in teaching for lecturers.

Research Awards
Awards for full-time faculty members who are pre-tenure or who have received tenure and have spent at least two years at UT.

Award for the Development of Interdepartmental Collaboration in Scholarship and Research
Award for collaborative groups in at least two departments in the College of Arts and Sciences who reach beyond their department and disciplinary borders to explore new areas.

Award for Academic Outreach
Award for extraordinary contributions of faculty to the public.

Advising Awards
Award for a faculty who does an outstanding job with advising undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences.

New Research, Scholarly, and Creative Projects in the Arts & Humanities
Financial award to support outstanding faculty in the arts and humanities with a project or projects that will lead to significant new external professional recognition for the faculty member.
