Several college councils and committees have memberships that are defined according to a four-division model for the college, with seats reserved for units in the (1) arts, (2) humanities, (3) natural sciences, and (4) social sciences. With the departure of the School of Music from the college, the arts division now consists of only two units: the School of Art and the Department of Theatre. During academic year 2023-24, the college will consider changes to the college bylaws that align college councils and committees with the new three-division structure, in which arts and humanities units are combined into a single division. It will be important for faculty to provide their thoughts on this realignment to their department head and Dean’s Advisory Council member.  More information about the college’s councils and committees can be found in Article I.D of the college bylaws.
