I spend most of my free time with my wife and our two dogs – Siler (a black lab) and Taz (a blue heeler who has a raccoon tail). I really enjoy reading and have a constantly-growing personal library that Amazon makes it way too easy to add to. We also love going to sporting events and seeing live music. I’m a huge sports fan and my favorites include (but are not limited to): Spartans, Gamecocks, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates.

I think that college is an incredible and unique opportunity. There are so many ways to grow as a person, citizen, and scholar during your time here. From meeting fellow students and professors from diverse backgrounds, to getting involved on-campus or in the community, or even study abroad, the opportunities abound. When you think of all the people you’ll meet and the things you’ll do and experience, you quickly realize that there will never be another time quite like this - be sure to take advantage of all UT has to offer.
