I am a lifelong SEC football fan with Garnet and Black South Carolina roots, but I’ve accepted the Vols as my second favorite. I love travelling and road trips. My favorite cities in the U.S. are Washington D.C. and Charleston, SC; and my favorite outside of the U.S. is St. Petersburg, Russia. My next dream destinations are Prague, Vienna, and the Adriatic coast of Croatia. I also dream of dog ownership, but for now my dog calendar will have to suffice. In my spare time you can find me reading books (ideally with a cup of coffee in hand), re-watching the Harry Potter movies (I’m a Hufflepuff with Ravenclaw tendencies), playing trivia with friends, listening to TED Talk podcasts, and cooking—particularly baking and recreating my favorite dishes from Russia and Central Asia.
BA, History, with minors in Russian and Political Science (University of South Carolina)
MS, College Student Personnel (University of Tennessee, Knoxville)
My dream is that a college education inspires students to be lifelong learners. While you are in college actively immerse yourself in as many of your interests as possible because you never know where that could take you. Take advantage of opportunities to pursue learning outside of the classroom including internships, study abroad, undergraduate research, and student organization participation.
