Personal Interests

I really enjoy learning and researching. In my spare time from being a mom I like to learn about new ways to better the field I work in. I am a strong advocate for social justice and inclusion, so a lot of my spare time goes to reading about ways to become a more inclusive person. I also really enjoy public speaking so I try to attend as many conferences, and present as often as I can. Outside of education I love spending time in my church, with my daughter, my husband, and my dog Sparky.

Education

BA, Communication Studies, African American Studies and Ethnic Studies minors, University of Nebraska - Lincoln; MA, Educational Administration – Student Affairs, University of Nebraska - Lincoln

Educational Philosophy

I believe that every student is created differently, and we all experience life in different ways. Every student has the ability to get a degree and be successful. Every student will have their own struggle and that experience will not be the same for every student. I believe that success lies in the eye of the beholder, and each student has the right to determine what success looks like for them. I am here to help students in finding their true passion in life and determining the best educational route for them.
